Your Swimming Pool Summer Check List

You can always tell the gardens that have a pool in them, it’s the one everyone seems to congregate in and it’s where you hear all the laughter coming from all year round. All of a sudden your children have a lot more friends than they did throughout the winter and you suddenly get reacquainted with your neighbours. You have to get everything looking spic and span before you can even think about letting the local community invade. This job won’t be too much of a task so long as you were sensible last year and you put everything away as it should be.

Things like the machinery will have been sat still over the cold winter months and will have probably have had to survive a few frosts so make sure it’s all still working OK. Anything like swimming pool pumps are a core part of any pool and you don’t want to wait until you have a pool full of people before you find out it’s not working as it should be. Make sure you also check the swimming pool heaters. You may not think much of this now but for anyone who likes to enjoy a quite swim either first thing in the morning or in the evening you’re going to want warm water to swim in. By checking every over now you’ve left yourself time to make sure you can get a replacement in time.

Solar pool covers mean you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to keep your pool heated as they harness the power of the sun instead which is also great for the environment. It’s the surrounding area of the pool that’s most important, there’s no point cleaning the pool if it’s say under a huge tree that’s going to drop leaves and branches into it. If you have a paved area or decking around your pool it can be very dangerous if there are leave everywhere as they’ll soon become slippery.
