Generally you will find people living in apartments<br \/>\nand condos without any lawn area are container gardeners. You<br \/>\nwill see flowers, tomatoes, lettuce and herbs spilling over the<br \/>\nrailings of balconies. However, the popularity and ease of<br \/>\ncontainer gardens has spilled over to homeowners.<\/p>\n<p>Although the majority of container gardens are seen around<br \/>\ndecks, patios and porches, you can have a container garden<br \/>\nanywhere, even spread among your yard based flower garden. Some<br \/>\ngardeners use container gardening to add accents to spots in<br \/>\ntheir garden that may be thin while awaiting perennials to<br \/>\nbloom. This is also a way to help achieve just the right color<br \/>\nscheme for your garden. Annuals in containers are a way to add<br \/>\ncolor to your perennial garden all season long.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of people now seem to use their gardens as extensions of<br \/>\ntheir homes, adding garden ornaments and furniture, with some<br \/>\npeople creating garden &#8220;rooms&#8221;. These gardeners are also finding<br \/>\nthe variety, shapes, and sizes of containers helps them pull<br \/>\ntogether specific garden themes. Garden containers come in a<br \/>\nwide array of colors from unglazed orange clay to bright and<br \/>\nbrilliant emerald and blue. There are containers that are made<br \/>\nfrom wood, metal, plastic or resin.<\/p>\n<p>Using a container garden can also help you and your plants and<br \/>\nflowers co-exist happily together. With container gardening you<br \/>\ncan see that each flower receives the correct amount of light,<br \/>\nor shade to make it thrive. It&#8217;s also easier to have greater<br \/>\naccuracy when watering as you do it dependent on the needs of<br \/>\neach plant. The rule is that you should first feel the soil, if<br \/>\nit&#8217;s dry, pour water into the container just until it starts to<br \/>\ncome out of the bottom of the pot.
