Very simple to use and makes edging simple, quick, and easy. I purchased this unit due to all the rave reviews.<\/p>\n
If you tend to hit the concrete sidewalk\/driveway a lot check the blade and replace when it gets worn down, otherwise you will be “edging” but not a lot will be happening. I put a new blade on the other day and it’s like a brand new edger again!<\/p>\n
My results with it have been excellent. The included instructions were sub-standard.<\/p>\n
I purchased this edge trimmer after my old one broke. I had been using a Ryobi string trimmer with the edger attachment. I certainly second that. Ours wasn’t, but it did clump up a bit and I had to clean out the guard. Great doing straight edges but cumbersome when attempting to do curved edges where a stringed edger is so much easier. I bought one of these units many years ago and it lasted a good long time, probably 10 years, and I have quite a bit of sidewalk and driveway to edge. The guide lines on the blade guard really help to align the blade perfectly to ensure a perfect cut. However, I did have trouble with taller edges. Very misleading in the description. If anything it might dig a small trench for planting.<\/p>\n
I smelled more burning plastic then cut grass when using this unit. The motor lasted long enough to show some spectacular sparks. This item is exactly what I wanted and it is operating perfectly. Would recommend to anyone. I’ll put up with the cord compared to chokes, mixing fuel, starting problems, and smell. This item broke down after one usage.<\/p>\n
My Husband has been looking to buy this, but kept putting it off. He is very happy with it and neighbors even say they see him in the yard “playing”. It’s just a simple to use machine that does its job well. I just walk around the edges now and the whole lawn is complete in only a few minutes. Highly recommend the Boss Edger. This is a terrible edger and does not do a good job at all.<\/p>\n
