Its okay for digging trenches – if that’s all you need it for.

Highly recommend the Boss Edger. This is a terrible edger and does not do a good job at all.

Powerful, handles well, easy to use and its performance is excellent. Well worth the price. If you care how your yard looks and don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on an edger, this is perfect. It will do the same job and more for more than the price.

You definitely need a soft grass and absolutely no stones. I guess in my case, I just chose the wrong tool. Overall a good product and a good warranty. It’s a good option to consider when purchasing your new edger. Talk about ‘the fleecing of America’ when it comes to the consumer. It’s all around us now and arguably getting worse!

Note to new edgers: Watch for rocks – if the blade sparks, you may be hitting a rock. I just went back through after reading reviews here on amazon of other users and felt inspired to try it again.

I tried edging with my string trimmer, but once it gets out of hand you really need an edger to do the job properly. One general piece of edging advice. There is NO comparison of the new edger to my old edger in terms of build quality, ease of use, and ability to cut through grass and dirt when edging. The new edger bogs down and runs out of power, and the quality of cut is worse than the old one.

Also, I found three cables I wasn’t expecting. Fortunately, they were buried deep enough! He says it is much nicer and easier to use than his old gas-powered edger. There you have it. I was concerned an electric edger wouldn’t have the power to handle it, but there was more than enough power. The unit is very quiet too.

I purchased this edger to replaced one like it that I used successfully for several years. It was light weight and easy to use with good results. Easy to set up and use, adjustments are easy to make, very lightweight and maneuverable. I didn’t need a big heavy gas engine edger at 2-3 times the cost for small amount of edging every couple weeks.

My only concern is how well it will hold up over time. AUTO GLASS REPLACEMENT COST.

Not so, I tried used the product but went back to the grass hog.
