Rolled Bamboo Fencing – The First Choice Of Landscape Designers

Bamboo fencing is the ideal way to dress up your outdoor space. But even so, it’s use is not limited to outdoors. Rolled bamboo has its place inside as well, where it’s used in window dressings as well as for decorative room dividers. But primarily, rolled bamboo fencing is used in creating unique looks around garden or patio.

A rolled bamboo fence is both strong and durable. In fact, the heavier kind of rolled bamboo is as strong as cedar. Bamboo will last close to twenty years if it’s maintained properly. It needs to be treated like wood products in order to prevent cracking and drying.

For outdoor fencing, rolled bamboo must be supported on a rigid frame or structure. It can either be applied right onto an existing fence or become part of a new fence.

If it’s being applied on a fence that’s already in place, the roll will have to be attached. The easiest way to attach it to wooden fencing is by stapling stainless steel or galvanized heavy duty staples to the fence. Staples like these won’t rust or mark up your fencing. But be sure that you apply the staples on top of the existing wire holding the rolled fencing together, to hide the staples.

With a chain link fence, simply wire the bamboo roll to the chain link. Do this at intervals of about four or five inches. Apply it to the top, bottom and middle of the fencing. Using galvanized wire is a good idea as it won’t deteriorate. Attach this galvanized wire to the wire running through the roll for extra strength.

To use bamboo for a new fence, first you’ll need to make a frame. This frame provides support for the rolled material. Be sure to use wood poles as the posts that go into the ground. The frame will need boards along the top, bottom, and middle. When the frame is completed, attach the roll of bamboo just as you would for an existing fence.

Once the bamboo fencing rolls have been attached to the frame it’s possible to trim them to fit with a miter saw or pruning sheers. It’s very important that bamboo doesn’t touch the ground. Because it’s a grass rather than a type of wood, it will deteriorate rapidly if it comes into direct contact with the ground. Use a wooden frame and wooden posts to avoid this problem.

With so many different types and styles of rolled bamboo fencing available, the hardest part of building a fence could be in deciding which bamboo fencing you want to use. So what’s it going to be – solid, split or woven bamboo?

A bamboo garden fence is an easy way to fence in your backyard garden patch and keep unwanted visitors out. Bamboo fence panels are long lasting and will do the same job as more expensive types of fencing materials. Visit bamboofencepanels.net to find out more.
