Pond Lights- Why Outdoor Lighting is Important?
I recently visited a local temple, where they have a small fish-pond out in front. It was late in the evening and therefore the pond was lighted with different colors. The colored lighting glistened off the scales of the three large goldfish, and soft lights created a gorgeous ambient effect by reflecting off the plants. It was as if a small fairy tale is live in a small space.
Out of curiosity, I tried finding the wires to see how they were doing it, but could find none. All I was able to find out was a thin line that was anchored to the bottom and supported all lights in the pond. What I also noticed was a black colored squarish panel on top of all the lights in that was a solar power converter. Use of solar pond lights made a lot of sense as most of these organizations survive on donations.
High Energy Bill?
Since most religious institutions survive off the donations of the congregation, and every coin has to go as far as possible, the use of solar pond lights made perfect sense. If one keeps a pond live for a night with more than two or three lights or say about 10 hours, it definitely cost a lot. If spending that kind of money appropriate? Solar lights are a low-cost alternative, both in buying them and using them. Solar lights power themselves and do not require electrical feed that causes spending hundreds of dollars per year.
For a pond, LED lights is used for the pond light. They are kept inside a waterproof casing so the device easily float on water. These lights capture sun energy in small batteries and then use this power to light a pond whole night long. Presence of light sensor in casing helps in predicting the right time when the lights should turn on.
The Hassle Of Using Batteries
It can be quite time consuming to make the pond water and fish free first and then after fixing normal light repeat the same process, though some advocate that normal pond lights are a cheaper option. Solar pond lights are advantageous since they cater both to environment as well as time. Your presence is only required while installing them after which you do not need to spend time in maintaining it. These pond lights come in a variety of shapes, from globes to saucers to frogs and insects.
Every Calgary landscaping company would suggest for you to have solar pond lights for your garden, so don’t be surprised if they ask you to get one.
