Wasps are a great nuisance in the summer, especially when we want to spend more time outside enjoying the nice weather if we’re lucky enough. The reason that wasps are more likely to come and irritate us is because this is the time of year where they need to go out to look for food for the young wasps. If you come across a wasps nest, you should only attempt to get rid of it if it’s actually causing a problem if it’s in your house for example. Mosquitoes need water to breed which is why they are so commonly found near lakes, rivers and other damp areas. So by clearing up any spills of water when they happen, wiping down your shower or bath and wringing out your washing up sponge, mosquitoes are far less likely to come out.You can also try using citronella products if you’re planning to spend a lot of time outside. These give off a pungent smell for the mosquitoes who won’t be as likely to come near.
